How does it work?
Ensure employees have salary identifiers and correct salary codes assigned
Choose the “Heartland Plus One” file format and prepare the report.
Create your new pay run, import the file from Planday, validate hours/wage codes, then proceed with payroll.
Set up your integration
- Ensure you have administrator access in Planday with rights over Payroll settings (salary codes, employee identifiers) and full department visibility.
- In Planday: Navigate to Settings → Integrations → Overview. Find Heartland Plus One and click Add → Activate.
- In Planday: Under People, edit each employee and add the correct Salary identifier (matching Heartland records). Set up and apply correct salary codes to shift types/employee groups.
- Run a test export: Go to Payroll → Export, select your date range, choose Heartland format, download file. Import it into Heartland manually, check hours/code mappings.
- Once validated, use this export workflow for all payroll runs. Monitor for any issues in the first few cycles and refine mapping or codes.
